The Journal Maiahoje is a regional journalistic publication, edited from the municipality of Maia. The publication appears on the market to fill the gap of not having, at the time, any publication on newsstands. It always had at least three journalists with professional licenses and more than a dozen collaborators.
It is independent from political, religious and sporting powers, defends a free opinion and portrays important facts for the region where it operates.
Financed 100% by private, family capital, it has been published without interruption since 5 February 2000. It has an estimated readership of between 40,000 and 50,000 people, and has a solid following of around 1,800 subscribers.
In the municipality, it was the first publication ever to maintain a regular presence on the Internet for more than 20 years.
Maiahoje has, in 2020, a portfolio of more than 1.000 business clients, in the advertising / creative /graphic areas, in a very varied range, from micro-companies to large multinationals.
Technologically advanced, is equipped with its own servers and means that allow you to broadcast live events.
It possesses, in this century, the largest archive of images, video and news about the municipality of Maia, being unavoidable in the analysis of its history.
Its biggest project and simultaneously its biggest investment is the television channel that will be based, for the time being, on the broadcasting through social networks.
